Video Production Manager – Located at our Hobbycraft Head Office, BH23 6HG

We’re looking for an energetic and passionate video production manager with exceptional organisational and project management skills to lead the creation of video content for Hobbycraft We offer a dynamic and fun environment with positive people who are passionate about inspiring our customers and meeting their crafting needs.
Our hybrid working model is 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.
Full Time – 37.5 hours – This role is based at our Head Office but frequent travel is needed to our Southampton Studio as well as on location at a number of stores and sites across the UK. You will need to have access to a car and hold a valid UK driving licence.

Planning video content requirements

Liaising with internal stakeholders from the marketing, digital and trading teams to understand the needs and potential opportunities for new video content.

Define the priorities, requirements, best approach, and estimated costs of new video content for approval.
Pre-production management
- To define, communicate and manage the pre-production schedule with both internal and external stakeholders.

Organise all the pre-shoot requirements, including, videographer, models, crafters, artisans and set designers or location owners.

Write scripts for every piece of content required ensuring details specific to each project are considered and planned for
Postproduction management

Manage the editing and feedback workflow of all videos, ensuring key stakeholders input within a clear structure and to deadline.

Upload all video content to YouTube ensuring descriptions, meta data and subtitles adhere to channel best practice guidelines.

Create a marketing plan for all content produced.

Measure the success of all projects using insights to drive optimisation.
Project specific ownership

Get Started In – creating and managing a library of content that is based on products, projects, search data and trading priorities to help customers get started with new hobbies.

YouTube – owning the channel and producing specific content aimed at increasing our video views and channel subscribers.

Live Video Streaming – manage the production of live video events such as Facebook Live that can be used to support trading or local store initiatives.
About You
- Proven experience of video production

Excellent organisation, planning and communication skills.

Passionate about effective communication strategies, film making and storytelling.

Creatively astute / good eye for detail

Good analytical skills

Ability to work independently.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Video editing skills would be advantageous but not essential to the role

A positive can-do attitude and passion for video production is a must.

A valid UK driving licence and access to a car.
