Avaliable Job Today Beatdown Music Academy is hiring!
We’re looking for an experienced Guitar tutor to help fill out our growing team here at Beatdown. The right candidate will look to take on several students as well as travel to and from external Schools to teach pupils.
Key tasks and responsibilities
✅ To teach electric/acoustic guitar to students aged 5 and up
✅ To monitor and record pupils’ progress
✅ To prepare for and attend student showcases and other live performances
✅ To commit to the promotion of equality, diversity and inclusion
✅ To commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
The ideal candidate will…
✅ Be able to travel as we are now travelling to schools to offer lessons to their students, as well as lessons on site here at the academy.
✅ Be able to work weekends as primarily we will be looking to fill out slots on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
✅ Have prior experience as you will be working mainly with young children on site and at schools
✅ Have some form of qualification or experience in music whether in teaching or in music as a subject
✅ Have experience with a range of contemporary guitar styles
✅ Be a team player capable of working well with students, parents and other members of staff
✅ Have good written and verbal communication skills
✅ Be punctual and organised
✅ Be positive, enthusiastic, energetic, flexible and have a proactive attitude
✅ Be adaptable to changing situations
✅ Be open, honest and approachable
✅ Be dedicated, committed and hard working
✅ Be willing to collaborate with other members of staff
✅ Excellent IT skills would be advantageous
