Job Description

Do you want to be part of an innovative and dynamic IAPT service?

Are you a highly experienced BABCP accredited CBT therapist passionate about providing high quality evidence-based psychological therapy to people with common mental health problems who also has a keen interest in supporting the further development of other qualified and trainee CBT therapists?

An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen within the Blackpool Healthier Minds Service for a Clinical Lead Post (Band 8a) to commence 1st April 2023 until 24th April 2024 (Fixed Term Contract).

You will play a key role in monitoring team and individual performance and working with the Leadership Team to responsively implement and sustain strategies of quality improvement.

You will have substantial clinical experience within IAPT services in the NHS, have the knowledge and ability to lead a team of clinicians and initiate projects, seeing them through to completion, with the support of the Team Manager and the wider leadership team.

Please note, experience of working with patients with comorbid long-term health conditions (LTC) and medically unexplained symptoms (MUS) and health care teams is desirable.

You will have the opportunity to be part of a fantastic multidisciplinary team of staff who are genuinely committed to improving the lives of our service users and carers.

The successful candidates will be responsible for clinically supporting our team. You will provide supervision, clinical leadership, consultation, guidance and training to CBT therapists, trainees and PWPs whilst carrying a caseload two days per week. You will be offered regular clinical and management support and supervision.

You will be central to supporting our trainees, providing supervision and training. You will play a critical role in further developing our multidisciplinary team of clinicians, in collaboration with the Team Manager and wider leadership team and realising the clinical expertise required for success.

You will lead on service developments, research and audit. You will work with the senior leadership team and key stakeholders to deliver KPI targets and service improvement initiatives, so the best outcomes for patients are achieved. An understanding and commitment to both the IAPT model and staff wellbeing are essential.

As this is a senior leadership role you will be also required to participate in the Divisional senior manager on call (SMOC) rota. You will have knowledge and experience of supporting staff.

We are keen to hear from suitably experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated individuals who are focused on providing patient-centred care of the highest quality.

Please note, if you are considering this fixed term post as a secondment, you must have your current manager’s agreement to be released from your current role before you apply.
