Job Title: Bookkeeper/Accounts Apprentice

Salary Range: £22,000-27,000 pro rata (approx £12-15/hr).
Position Type: Part-time ~25 hrs/wk.
Job Description
To perform accounting and bookkeeping activities relevant to the company.
Role and Responsibilities
We are interested in working with an enthusiastic bookkeeper and credit controller to aid in our accounts department. The role will involve learning & supporting of all aspects of company accounting including:
- Bookkeeping and ledgers in multiple currencies.
- Working with other departments within the organisation.
- Bank and currency reconciliations.
- Data entry and analysis.
- Credit control.
- Deal with customer and supplier accounts queries – by phone and e-mail
A successful candidate will need:
- Excellent diligence & high quality of work.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum grade C in Math’s and English at GCSE level (or equivalent).Good standard of computer literacy including working with spreadsheets.Have, or willing to work towards AAT level qualifications.Experience and working knowledge of Sage50 accounts system or similar accounts package.
Additional Notes
Working hours are flexible within normal company opening hours, 9-5 Monday to Friday. We would also consider applications from those starting their career in finance on an apprenticeship basis.
