Job Description

George Ward is a male acute ward. We are seeking an inspirational, innovative and motivated Healthcare Assistant who is dedicated to and passionate about caring for people with mental health needs. You will need to possess high quality clinical and interpersonal skills to contribute to and deliver high quality and compassionate care, to service users at the point of transfer to an acute ward.

It’s important that you have an understanding of multidisciplinary services and the challenges that face people with mental health problems. We want to hire staff that are passionate about mental health, who believe in our recovery model and who will act as advocates for the reduction of stigma in our community. You must have an excellent understanding of safeguarding and how to work within professional boundaries.

You will be expected to work as a member of the ward team by contributing to the provision of a comfortable and effective stay for patients. You will provide valued support to the MDT facilitating the care of our patients, this will include facilitating activities, supervising leave, carrying out observations within the Trusts guidelines and feeding back information to the MDT. This post requires a range of skills to ensure the maintenance of the current high standards of effective delivery of patient care, whilst ensuring the safety and security of the service users is paramount.

The service is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals who are committed to ensuring patients receive quality care.
