Job Description
The integrated community respiratory team is an expanding, developing service that provides care 7 days per week. The service provides a diagnostic spirometry service, respiratory virtual ward (RVW), home oxygen (HOSAR) and respiratory service to support local patients with a respiratory diagnosis. We currently have a years secondment opportunity within the team which provides an ideal opportunity to develop existing respiratory knowledge and leadership skills.
The post holder will work as part of the team of trained nurses, physio and assistant practitioners in provision of care and education for those living with a respiratory disease. This will include basic observations and respiratory assessment, venepuncture, inhaler technique, blood gas sampling. In return you will be supported and developed to learn new skills and develop existing skills to achieve the required competency framework for a specialist band 7 practitioner.
We work collaboratively with the local acute trust and are part of Mid and South East Essex (MSE) ICB. EPUT values are ‘we care, we learn, we empower’.

As the post involves travelling across Southend and Castle Point and Rochford, a car driver is essential.
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of high quality, evidence based, patient centred care. The care is provided in a clinic setting or patients own home and includes assessing, developing and implementing specialist care and also providing specialist advice to other members of the MDT and all HCP's.
