Band 6 Junior sister / Charge nurse Emergency Department

An opportunity has arisen for a highly-motivated, caring and compassionate individual to join our band 6 team in the Emergency Department as part of urgent care.
Last year in excess of 68,000 children and young people attended the Emergency Department. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent care to these children and young people who present with a wide range of medical and surgical emergencies and minor injuries whilst also supporting their families. As the Regional Trauma Centre for paediatrics we also care for the most seriously injured children in the West Midlands.
We are looking for individuals who have extensive experience in working in an Emergency Department who has excellent clinical and organisational skills and can provide leadership to the nursing team in order to ensure high quality care is delivered to our patients. The successful candidates will be required to take charge of the department on a day-to-day basis and coordinate flow of patients from arrival through to discharge or admission whilst ensuring patient safety and the sustainability of good staff morale. You will manage the department whilst upholding and promoting the Trust Values.

We are committed to developing our nursing staff. We also offer access to the Critical care course, EPALS and management matters. As well as lots of opportunities to develop yourself further in a chosen area via a link worker role.
