Head of Psychology | Acute/PICU | Inpatient Hospital
Hours: Full time permanent
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000

Compass Associates are working with a nationwide provider of mental health, learning disabilities and neurorehabilitation services, to recruit a new Head of Psychology to join them on a full time permanent basis.
You would be based at one of their inpatient hospitals in Nottinghamshire, which is comprised of acute and PICU wards for adults going through crisis. The hospital provides medical, psychological and therapeutic treatment for adults with severe and acute mental health conditions such as psychosis, personality disorders, bipolar disorders, depression, anxiety and PTSD. Patients may have additional comorbidities including substance misuse or undiagnosed ASD/ADHD.
This is an exciting role for an experienced Psychologist who has acute/PICU experience as you'd be part of the hospital's senior management team and play an instrumental role in improving and developing the service. You will supervise a Trainee Psychologist, 2 x Assistant Psychologists and 2 x Therapy Support Workers as well as hold a small caseload.
Essential criteria:
Doctorate level degree in Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychology
Inpatient mental health experience, ideally acute/PICU
HCPC registration
Experience and/or interest in clinical research and service development
Interview Process
Two stage process: informal conversation followed by a formal interview (face to face or Teams)
