Job Summary
We are currently looking to recruit a Quality Control Analytical Scientist within the QC Department at our site in Keele, Staffordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of testing procedures for the release of raw materials, bulk drugs, final drug products, research grade and high -quality products, process intermediates. The laboratory operates in compliance with GMP standards and industrial and regulatory guidance.

Profile and Requirements
Main duties will include:

  • Testing of Raw/Starting Materials
  • Execution of allocated Laboratory activities within set timeframes
  • Verify equipment performance as required for GMP activities
  • Responsible for own work schedule within plans set by supervisor
  • To ensure GMP compliance is maintained, as defined in the Company Quality system, for all assigned programmes of work for both contracted and routine operations
  • To identify and report quality or compliance deficiencies to supervisor or QA
  • To provide information to the Commercial Function if requested for both new business opportunities and for on-going contracts
  • Receive training in new procedures as required for laboratory efficiency and personal development
  • Provide training to less experienced staff in techniques where competency has been attained
  • To contribute to initiatives to improve the performance and efficiency of the Quality Group and the Keele site as a whole
  • Perform other duties that from time-to-time management will assign
