Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to develop your research skills in mental health, forensic settings? The North London Forensic Service (NLFS) is recruiting aResearch Assistantto join our NLFS Research Team (Chase Farm) and support the ongoing portfolio of clinical research studies, offering assistance with coordinating and delivering clinical research activity.
We are looking for 1 new team member who is highly motivated individual, passionate, dependable, and able to work independently, as well as part of a dynamic team. It is expected that applicants will have a strong working knowledge, experience, and understanding of clinical research, and possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities include facilitating data collection, engaging clinical teams, and direct recruitment of our service users, careers and staff. The position will also support the development of new research ideas and applications for research ethical approval and funding.
This role would suit you if you are interested in developing research to aid service development, (policy and clinical strategy) ultimately resulting in improved patient care and improved support provided to NHS staff.
There are a range of training, CPD and research opportunities available for you to develop your skills, as well as the opportunity to publish in academic peer reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
The Research Assistant will assist with:
- Promoting Research Engagement
- The development of research protocols
- conducting data-base searches literature, data collection and analysis and dissemination
- Recruitment of participants (service users, carers and staff)
- Data collection
- Data analysis and interpretation of data and/or gather impact evidence
- Dissemination (report writing, write up for publication, presentation at relevant meetings/conferences)
