Job Description
We are a small, independent gardening and grounds maintenance company that has seen growth over the last eight years and are looking to expand due to the growing amount of customers we now have. As a gardener, you could be working on gardens in a wide variety of settings, for example, private gardens at private properties, green spaces around buildings, commercial properties, public parks, street plants displays to name a few. This role is for a full or part-time gardener, as we have both positions available for the right person.The main duties are as follows:Raising plants from seedsPruning shrubsChecking the health of plants by identifying any pests or diseases and controlling themApplying nutrients to plants and maintaining moisture levelsCleaning and maintaining tools and equipmentSoil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, bed, preparation and plantingLawn maintenance and cultivationThe use of hand tools and basic light machineryThe use if cylinder and rotary mowers, strimmers, leaf blowers and rotovatorsThe use of sit on lawn mowers and tractor mowersAdjustments of mower height and quality of cut, etc. oil levels checked and checks to mowers for damageTo ensure all equipment, machinery and buildings/gardens are secure. to keep the tool shed/storage area clean and tidyTo empty litter bins around commercial propertiesTo carry out gritting, salt spreading and snow clearingPrepare and plant rockeries, herbaceous borders and shrubberiesJob Type: Full-timeSalary: £21,000.00-£25,000.00 per yearBenefits:FlexitimeSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftFlexitimeMonday to FridayOvertimeWeekend availabilityAbility to commute/relocate:Warwick, Warwickshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:Gardening: 1 year (preferred)Licence/Certification:Driving Licence (required)Work Location: In person
