Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of logistics operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and transportation.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of products.
- Utilize data analysis skills to identify trends, forecast demand, and make informed decisions.
- Implement and maintain a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Source and negotiate with carriers, freight forwarders, and Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOCC) to secure cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Coordinate dispatching activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Oversee materials handling activities to minimize damage and maximize productivity.
- Train and supervise logistics staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in logistics management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, package handling, and order picking processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
