Job Description
Blossom Dental Group, a dental practice located in York, is seeking an experienced part-time bookkeeper (1-2 days per week) to join our team starting in September 2023. In this role, you will be responsible for managing daily financial record keeping and accounting using Xero accounting software.
Responsibilities:
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Reconcile company bank accounts and credit cards
Assist payroll specialists with payroll reporting and processing.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure entries are properly recorded
Assist external accounting firm with the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting role
- Proficiency with Xero accounting software required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Based locally in York.
- Must have own computer and be comfortable working remotely.
- Ability to work 1-2 days per week on a flexible schedule.
- This part-time position offers a competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.
- The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, be highly organised and detail oriented.
- Previous experience in the dental industry is a plus.
