Graduate Structural Engineer
We have opportunities for Graduate Structural Engineers to join us in our UK Teams. We are currently recruiting for the following locations: Aberdeen.
The Graduate Structural Engineer will work as part of multidiscipline team on a project, contributing to ensuring the quality and timely delivery of Civil & Structural deliverables.
As a graduate under the supervision and mentorship within our team, you will assist in the delivery of engineering services to Worley and our customers. You will perform a variety of assignments through the application of basic engineering theories, techniques, and practices. You will be trained in the utilization of relevant regulations, codes, standards, and industry standard practices for the control, development, and application of deliverables while gaining exposure to procedures and processes.
With our broad portfolio of projects of different sizes, you will be provided with opportunities to complete required training towards professional institution membership.
As a Graduate Structural engineer:
You’ll be
- Working within our team and support by producing designs, calculations and technical report documentation
- Carrying out engineering calculations and structural analysis to deliver a functional input to projects
- Supervising design drawing production and other project related design deliverables
- Be responsible for technical issue resolution and monitoring of progress within your own area of responsibility
- Contributing to integrated safety when reviewing or producing engineering designs
- As part of our team, recognising and addressing potential and actual cross-discipline issues and conflicts
- Ensuring that work complies to all necessary corporate, departmental and legislative requirements and procedures, to guarantee that consistency and quality of deliverables is maintained
- Inputting into potential improvements to existing methods and techniques to aid both cost reductions and improved sustainability in assigned work areas
You’ll have
- You will be in your final year of study of an accredited bachelor’s or master’s level degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (or equivalent) or have graduated within the past 3 years
- You will be looking to achieve registration as a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) equivalent in the future
