Charnwood is one of the largest shire district councils in the country based on population, serving around 183,000 people. We offer a range of services, with everything from refuse and recycling collections to the operation of a theatre and historic markets.


The opportunity


This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a small and friendly HR team, helping to assist with general HR and recruitment administration. You will be at the heart of our employee experience, assisting with employee onboarding, maintaining employee records and collaborating with the wider HR and Payroll team to provide an outstanding service.


To excel in this role you will have:


  • A passion for customer service and a willingness to help
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage a varied workload
  • Strong interpersonal skills, allowing you to develop and maintain effective working relationships
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that adverts and HR documents are accurate
  • Experience in a HR/Payroll environment or relevant Level 3 qualification
