Purpose:
Barnardo's National Counter Trafficking Service runs several different services across England and Wales. This includes the Independent Child Trafficking Guardianship Service, a statutory provision set out in Section 48 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our Guardianship Assessment Team Managers:
- Lead, manage and supervise a team of practitioners, including Independent Child Trafficking Guardians, Regional Practice Coordinators and Support Workers.
- The Guardianship Assessment Team process new children being referred to the ICTG Service, assess individual child's support needs and offer immediate safeguarding support.
- No 2 days are the same in NCTS, and no 2 hours are the same within our Guardianship Assessment Team. There is a constantly changing workload, responding to competing priorities and undertaking complex safeguarding case formulation.
- Oversee a fast paced, agile and dynamic team, who work remotely across the UK, coming together daily in a virtual office and working collaboratively.
- Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns and implement plans to mitigate risks
- Develop best practice in practitioners work with young people who have been trafficked
- Implement robust recording, data management and collection practices
- Ensure that all young people supported by the Service are referred into the National Referral Mechanism
- Build relationships of trust with stakeholders within the various regions
- Represent the Service at operational and strategic forums, both locally and nationally
- Support team learning, both locally and nationally
- Contribute to developing an evidence base around work with children and young people who have been trafficked
This is a Home-Based role, with the expectation you will travel to team days (approx. 10 days per year) and occasional overnight stays.
