One of the UK’s most inspiring and best-known faith-based organisations, The Salvation Army, is looking for an experienced manager to lead a team of graphic designers tasked with the creation of engaging and innovative material for both our portfolio of printed publications and campaigns and also our expanding online platforms. You will also have oversight of our in-house printing service.
As Head of Design and Print you will be responsible for managing the workflow of a team of graphic designers ensuring that the highest standards of work are maintained and appropriately prioritised and allocated, and to engage with external providers to procure services as required. You will manage and support the print consultant where internal printing can be offered, again ensuring the highest standards of service are maintained.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A passion for communication through design and print with extensive experience of successfully managing a customer focused service in a complex and demanding environment.
- High level subject matter expertise.
- Good knowledge and experience digital printing presses and finishing equipment.
- Proven ability to translate complex and non-visual briefs/subjects into creative, high-quality and impactful visual materials.
- The ability and willingness to work within and be empathic with the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation Army Mission.
