Participation Team Manager (Permanent)

Are you someone who has a passion for the participation of young people in the decisions that impact their lives? Are you looking for a role where you can lead a team of motivated and energetic people, making a real difference for children and young people, and are you excited by the opportunity to lead the launch and implementation of a new Participation strategy for the UK's leading children's charity?

The NSPCC Participation Team exists to ensure that children and young people are involved meaningfully in our work, that their involvement directly shapes the services that we deliver and that their involvement leads to change. We believe in being inspired and led by children and young people, and that's what drives us as a Participation Team. If you believe in this too and have the relevant experience and passion then the Participation Team Manager role could be for you.

We are looking for an individual experienced in the field of youth voice and youth participation, and with experience of leading and managing a team, delivering against organisational strategy, to join us on a permanent basis.

We have options for remote, hybrid or office working depending on your preference. Your working hours will be generally Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, but there will be some limited requirements to work evenings and weekends when supporting the delivery of sessions to young people.

The post holder will be responsible for the line management of team members, the day-to-day support and management of the Participation Team, the implementation of our Participation Strategy, and also be able to develop and deliver direct work with children and young people.

Those who are successfully shortlisted will be invited to an interview stage (held over Microsoft Teams and video based) which will include the following:

  • Technical Interview
  • Delivery of a task relating to working with children and young people
  • Value Based Interview (VBI)

To apply for this role please email your CV and supporting statement to Amara.Howe@morganhunt.com.

In your supporting statement, please make specific reference to how your experience matches with each of the points against the person specification.
