Job Description

Ward 3a is a busy in patient environment catering to children with complex needs requiring a wide range of clinical care. The ward can be a challenging environment to work in and candidates should be prepared for that. The children we care for have a multitude of needs and may require degrees of assistance with all aspects of daily living. This includes washing dressing and feeding. Patient behaviours can be challenging and unexpected, both physically and emotionally. This being said looking after these children is an immensely satisfying job and we are a close knit, skilled and professional team to join.
The applicant should have a keen interest in working with children with complex needs, and be able to work closely with families. Good communication skills are required. The applicant should be flexible and able to adapt to new skills and environments. Ventilation training would be provided on the job and will require the successful applicant to gain and maintain new skills and knowledge.
There a various hours available
The shift pattern is rotational days / nights 12 hour shifts
