About the Role By working in partnership with Community Assessors, District Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and NHS you will support service users with personal care (washing, toileting, dressing etc), medication administration, stair practice, reablement walks. Your work will directly impact the well-being and quality of life of those you care for. You will use an electronic recording system and access other IT to enhance your role and how you deliver best practice. Our Care Assistants are directly employed by Reading Borough Council giving you access to holiday entitlement and a local government pension scheme. Our available shift offers include: Morning Shifts: 7.30m to 1.30pm (21 hours per week) = £15,017 - £16,759 Per year 7.30am to 1.00pm (19.25 hours per week) = £13,765 - £15,362 Per year Evening shifts: 5.00pm to 10.00pm (17.5 hours per week) = £12,513 - £13,965 Per year Our hourly salary rates are £13.71 to £15.30 per hour You will be required to work a 7-day fortnight set shift pattern including working weekends and bank holidays - however we require flexibility at times to meet service needs. A driving licence and access to your own car is mandatory due to the travelling around the Borough.
