VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our Major Client with the Recruitment of a Communications Officer to join their growing and dynamic team in Belfast City Centre.
Salary - £32,880
Monday - Friday
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies and campaigns to promote the organization's mission and goals
- Create and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials to local and national media outlets
- Serve as the organization's spokesperson, handling media inquiries and coordinating interviews with key staff members
- Manage the organization's social media presence, including creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments or messages
- Coordinate and support internal communications efforts, including employee newsletters, memos, and announcements
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels
- Monitor media coverage of the organization and industry trends to identify opportunities for proactive communication initiatives
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful communication strategies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with media contacts and key stakeholders
- Proficient in social media platforms and content management systems
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of current trends in public relations and communications
