Role Summary The cashiers team provide an essential service to the business, and comprises of two teams, Client and Office, dealing with matter related costs and office running costs respectively. The cashiers function is a fast-paced environment, providing support to each other, to deliver the service expected by the firm. Role Purpose The person appointed will have the responsibility of allocating incoming receipts for the firm’s invoices; processing bank reconciliations; processing supplier invoices and payments; and other related tasks which fall under the team ensuring these are processed in an orderly and timely manner. The person must have the necessary skills to be able to cross train in all the roles required of the team, so they are able to cover as required. As part of their further development within the department, there will be a requirement to cross train in all the roles, so they are able to provide support to the department as and when required. Key Responsibilities & Deliverables Processing the firm’s invoices and payments in relation to the client related suppliers. Process client and office account bank reconciliations daily. Dealing with receipts/payments for client completions in accordance with the firms’ policy and SRA rules. Reporting of the firms client account balances. Manage Client Team mailbox ensuring all emails received are responded to promptly. Liaising with partners, staff and suppliers in relation to payments etc. made on their behalf. General Ad-hoc duties. Key Requirements Essential Previous experience in a finance administration role. Experience of Microsoft packages such as Outlook and Word, or equivalent. Excellent knowledge of Excel. Experience gained in a blue-chip environment. Desirable Experience in a cashiering or accounts receivable role. A very good working knowledge of 3E. A flexible and adaptable team player. Positive approach and the ability to remain calm when under pressure. Ability to prioritise daily workload and use own initiative. Attention to detail.
