Job Introduction Are you looking to make a difference? East Sussex County Council’s Learning Disability and Transitions Service has a permanent opportunity for a resource officer providing an opportunity to work with adults with learning disabilities, their families and carers, and contributing to making a positive impact on their lives, prospects and outcomes. As a service, we are committed to working with our clients and supporting them to build on their strengths, enabling them to live full lives within the community as independently as possible. This involves working closely with our health colleagues and key partner agencies, so excellent communication skills are a must. You will need to be able to independently travel to cover the area of the service which is countywide and includes rural locations. We have offices located in Eastbourne, Hastings and Uckfield. Our hybrid working arrangements allow for a mix of being home and office based throughout the week. We are looking for candidates who: Have a positive attitude towards the rights of people with learning disabilities. Are keen to work on their development. Can work as part of a team. Good communication skills and feeling confident in discussions with other professional disciplines. Have an ability to meet travel requirements of the post.
