Midas Structural Ltd are market leaders in the construction of petrol forecourt superstructures working with both high-end clients, architects and building companies.This incredible opportunity will see you train in both customer relationships and sales estimation, providing a rare chance to experience a variety of tasks and giving the opportunity to see all aspects of the business working alongside the Executive Directors.BenefitsSalary + Bonus28 days Holiday (including Bank Holidays)Company PensionComprehensive TrainingPerson SpecificationCommunication – both verbal and writtenBasic computer use, specifically towards Microsoft office suite and Adobe readerBasic qualifications in English and MathematicsGood spatial understanding or experience in reading construction drawingsOrganisedSelf-motivatedPunctual and reliableHave an eye for detailGood physical presentation to an audienceHave a willingness to learn.ResponsibilitiesWorking in a small, friendly team, you will be supporting both sales and project management preparing quotations and assisting delivery coordination on live projects.You will required to:Prepare detailed project documents for project costing and purchasing.Communicate with a range of third parties.Work with suppliers to ensure correct specification and price.Negotiate and place purchase orders for project sums.Deal with on-site queries from project managers and installation teams.Send quotations and estimates to prospective customers.Learn the requirements of a project using drawings and specifications.Generate costings using Excel spreadsheets and industry specific software.Liaise with the senior staff to understand customer enquiries.Data logging on the software system.Provide support and assistance as required to the Executive Directors.TrainingYou will receive on-site training and be mentored by an expert on the field. You will learn and develop a varied range of skills, covering a range of topics, including:Project costing & planningBudgetingHow to set up contractsThe training is designed to mould you into a high-level, all-rounded manager.
