The post holder will provide clinical support to the team and patients, carrying out diagnostic tasks such as ECGs and phlebotomy. A commitment to a quality service and excellence in all that DHU Health Care CIC undertakes are integral to the role and the development of the service.The post holder will participate in promoting advancing and be an ambassador for DHU Health Care CIC.The post holder will participate in promoting and advancing DHU Health Care CIC, whilst working towards DHU’s Values, behaviour's, and principlesWe are always:· Compassionate – we show kindness, consideration and understanding in everything we do – and demonstrate our caring nature to our patient, people, and communities.· Accomplished – we are available day and night – a response, adaptable, professional NHS partner, providing the best advice, care, and treatment for every individual.· Respectful – we recognise the value that individual and team difference bring – welcoming views, listening, being honest, and learning from others’ experiences.· Encouraging – we believe everyone matters, so we inspire confidence in other – promoting ‘speaking up’, fostering career-long learning and development, and supporting improvement ideas.Responsibilities:New patient health checks/NHS health checksECG recordingPhlebotomyWound Care/ManagementSpirometryBP monitoringUrinalysisHypertension reviewsChaperoning dutiesProcessing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses.Ensure patient warnings/pop-ups are actioned where appropriate/possible.Ensure specimens are labelled and bagged ready for collection with the necessary paperwork completed.Ensure clinical waste collection runs smoothly, reporting any problems to the practice manager.Participate in the administrative and professional responsibilities of the practice team.Ensure accurate and legible notes of all consultations and treatments are recorded in the patients notes.Ensure the clinical computer system is kept up to date with accurate details recorded.Essential Qualifications:Care CertificateEssential Experience and Skills:Previous experience of working as an HCA in UTC/ GP/ Hospital/ CommunityCommunication with a variety of peopleECG, Phlebotomy, CannulationIn return, we can offer:Joining DHU means you will receive some great benefits.
