Industrial Workwear Ltd are a leading Workwear and PPE supplier based in Consett, Co Durham. We have a new opportunity for an experienced Packer/Despatcher Operative to come and work in our Despatch department, being an integral part in ensuring our customers receive quality orders and on time.Working in this department, you will be working in a fast paced busy area alongside an experienced dynamic team. You will have the opportunity to help Industrial Workwear keep its commitment to our customers of producing quality products and delivered on time within customer SLA’sDuties and Responsibilities· Read and adhere to internal job sheets, ensuring the garment logo, thread and position are all correct.· Quality Check all finished garments to make sure they meet standards· Prep garments after decoration ready for packing – removing backing, trimming any loose threads· Accurately collate and pack orders as per job sheet and/or per wearer pack details· Supply the warehouse with relevant paperwork for picking of PPE· Work to a production plan and successfully operate within allocated production timings· Use of computers to print paperwork and any wearer pack labels required per order· Produce consignment labels to ship orders to the correct address.· Pack products securely to ensure safe delivery to customers.· Maintaining a clean and safe working environment through good housekeeping and Health and Safety measures.Essential Skills· ·Great organisational and time management and communication skills· Personal qualities which are vital – reliable, flexible, approachable, friendly, trustworthy and enthusiastic.· Team player· Ability to remain accurate whilst performing under pressure· Numeracy skills· IT competent· Previous experience is preferred, however full training will be given to the right candidate£10.42 -£11.00 per hour based on experience.Job Types: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: £10.42-£11.00 per hourExpected hours: 37.5 per weekBenefits:Company pensionEmployee discountFree parkingOn-site parkingSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental pay types:Bonus schemeAbility to commute/relocate: Consett: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:Picking & packing: 1 year (preferred)Work Location: In personReference ID: iwl2
