Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to Join the Neonatal Nursing team within the Neonatal Unit at The Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, for a Band 2 Health Care Support Worker. The RAH Neonatal Unit provides Level 2 care to patients and their families within Greater Glasgow and Clyde areas and work in collaboration with our two other Neonatal Units in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, which provides Level 3 care. Clinical duties will include supporting the nursing staff on duty by stocking areas, cleaning equipment and other general housekeeping duties within the department. The shift pattern for this post is day shift and nightshift as required in the department. The Neonatal unit is a busy 16 bedded ITU/HDU/SC. The ability to organize and prioritise your own workload is essential. As a Health Care Support Worker you are a hugely valuable support to our Nursing and Midwifery teams providing care to our patients. Everyday you’ll be working in close contact with patients and Families carrying out a wide range of tasks. As a Health Care Support worker, you will ensure a high standard of cleanliness following infection control policy and guidelines. As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will maintain stock supplies in the department and ensure the units cleanliness is maintained to a high standard.
