Correctional Officer – Maine Correctional Center Code: 5207 Pay Grade: 16 $22.95 - $26.62 hourly This rate includes $1/hr. institutional stipend This rate does not include applicable night, weekend shift differentials, or Premium Overtime.
Starting Pay: $22.95/hr. Base Premium Overtime Rate: $34.43/hr. Voluntary Overtime Incentive*: +$9.00/hr. to the Base Premium Overtime Rate.

We facilitate restorative justice practices that equip justice-involved residents and clients with the skills they need to become contributing members of society upon release, including treatment, education, and job training.

Starting Pay: $22.95/hr. Lateral credit up to 5 additional pay steps for experienced hires with current BCTP Certification.
Base Premium Overtime Rate: $34.43/hr.
Voluntary Overtime Incentive: +$9.00/hr. to Base Premium Overtime Rate. This incentive is currently available through at least June 30, 2023.
Shift Differentials: +$0.35/hr. 2nd +$0.42/hr. 3rd Shift.
Weekend Differential: +0.60/hr. straight time and +$0.90/hr. for Premium Overtime.

Minimum Requirements to Apply:
At least 18-Years-Old.
HS Diploma or Equivalent (HiSET, GED, etc.).
Valid driver's license to apply, Maine driver’s license upon hire.
No serious criminal or extensive motor vehicle records. See Automatic Disqualifiers
Paid Training, Education, and State Certification, 100% funded by MDOC: No prior experience necessary, training provided to ensure your career success.
Six-Week paid ‘Basic Corrections Training Program’ (BCTP) w/State Certification.
Non-residential BCTP held at MCC in Windham. If needed, lodging available & funded by MDOC.
